Entering Class of 2016 Profile
The entering first-year class of 1,580 students is enrolling from 1,061 different high schools. Students from outside the Middle Atlantic region comprise nearly 2/3 of the enrolling class; the students enrolling from overseas are from 47 different countries. The wide variety of cultural backgrounds, perspectives and experiences represented at Georgetown greatly contribute to learning for all students on the University campus. Thirty-five percent of the entering class are from multicultural backgrounds, one-third of first-year students claim fluency in more than one language and about 30% have lived abroad at some point.
