Visiting Student Program

The Visiting Student Program is meant for non-degree seeking students who wish to take one or two classes at Georgetown. Due to limitations of space, Georgetown is only able to offer admission to a limited number of Visiting Students. Applications must be approved by the Dean of the school in which the student wishes to study. Admission for Visiting Students is for one semester only.

Students who are earning degrees at schools other than Georgetown and wish to attend Georgetown as Visiting Students must include with their application materials a letter from the Dean of their current institution approving the courses to be taken at Georgetown for the degree requirements of their own schools.

Please complete and submit the online application and send in the required supporting documents by the application deadline. Please note that you will be unable to save your application, and will be required to complete and submit it in one sitting. After submitting your application you will receive a confirmation email and instructions on how to create your application account and access your Application Status Portal. Once established, your application account will allow you to submit your essay (if not submitted already), and request your Dean’s Approval Letter (if currently in college).

Special Visiting Student applications are reviewed on an individual basis and therefore an admitted student profile is not available.

Georgetown is not able to provide students visas for Visiting Students.
