High School Credits and Standardized Testing

AP Credit at Georgetown varies by exam and undergraduate school. Please see GU Undergraduate Bulletin for the most up-to-date AP Credit policies.

All first-year applicants are required to submit at least one full SAT or ACT test as part of their application. For transfers, the same policy applies for any student who has graduated from high school within the past five years.

International students must still submit SAT or ACT scores as part of their application. For students who do not attend an English language high school, English language testing is recommended. More information on test requirements are available on International Applicants webpage.

No, the science section of the ACT is not required. However, we do recommend that you take and submit the science section of the ACT if you are planning to submit ACT scores as your required standardized testing.

No, Georgetown only requires submission of scores from one full SAT or ACT examination.

Official scores must be sent directly from the testing agency, either the College Board or the ACT. Georgetown’s SAT Code is 5244, and the ACT Code is 0668.

Electronic submission of materials is strongly preferred. If mailing is the only option, we can accept mailed materials, but please plan for increased processing time.
